TRAVELING requires reviewing the subject
Some people say " to love traveling" as others say " to love eating". Yes but "eating" what ? Anything ?
Obviously there is a "sensation" fact involved. A desired effect by exposing ourselves to uncommon stimuli. To experience the challenge of the "inconnu" ( not known).
Traveling is a change of environment in order to expose oneself to foreign stimuli.
- WHY do we want this sensations ?
- WHICH kind of sensations are desirable to us ?
- WHAT do we expect as an end product of this experience ?
- WHY are we willing to spend ( money = energy + time) that most of the time we don't have.
- WHAT are we seeking from this experience.
- WHY are we ready to spend sums in that if invested in daily activities could bring us more lifetime satisfaction.
- Spending in traveling could be either an "investment" or a "waste". Most of the time it will be BOTH. Hopefully more of an investment than a waste.
- It will be foolish to sacrifice everyday life in order to AFFORD unwanted effects.
Think carefully which are the effects that you "want".
Obviously changing environments will expose a "traveler" to different stimuli which will translate in an experience of desired effects.
Traveling will bring an array of foreign ( meaning not common to "you") effects: visual, taste, auditive, etc.
Some experiences will be nice to experience others will be HELL ! Specially if one does not have the means to overcome or stop unwanted effects.
This is by no means an attempt to discourage anyone from traveling. It is merely a way to direct you to plan your moves and turn them into an investment and not a waste.
Money unless it is obtained by other means, is the "representation" ( a voucher) of the energy one has invested during a certain period of time. Money = energy + time. Money is a "voucher" that one can exchange for services (= others people energy.)
